Mottahedeh plates I have 4 sets of 4 plates all wonderfully hand painted 8" porcelain plates with different decorations by famous Mottahedeh of Portugal. These plates are no longer available other than through resales by online replacement companies....if they happen to have them. I found a couple of these and they were priced at $34 per plate. My plates are stamped on the back "Mottahedeh Portugal 1824" which is probably the year the company came into existance. I don't know the year these were produced.  Of the 4 sets of 4 plates, all are free of any chips or cracks, however the gold trim isn't in equal condition on every set of plates, so I put the nicest ones in Set #1. Sets labeled #2 and #3 are in nice condition with no chips or cracks but the gold trim painting isn't quite as nice as set #1. And set #4 has no chips or cracks in the plates but the gold painting isn't in very nice condition. I am asking just $8 per plate for set #4 ($32 which is less than the cost for one plate at the replacement company price). For sets #3 and #2 I am asking $12 per plate or $48 per set of 4 plates. And for set #1 I am asking $15 per plate or $60 and I will give a copy of a new book by deceased artist Kathleen Barrows, whose beautiful estate all of these items came from.  I will charge the same shipping cost as for the other 3 sets so that the $11.50 hard cover book is completely free.  If someone wishes to buy more than one set of the remaining sets of #2, #3, and or #4, I will also give them my other last new copy of her book minus the shipping cost the book adds to the total shipping cost. (additional photos of each set upon request).             $32 - $60

History on the back of the painting. The overall size is about 18" x 22 1/2" including the frame.     $40

SOLD

Acoma pottery This wonderfully carved and painted Acoma pottery is designed as a canteen with a small opening at the top with leather strung across the two handles on both sides. The original grey pottery color appears where it has been carved. The approximate size of this piece is 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" and it is about 3" deep at the widest area. It is designed to stand on a shelf or desk or with the use of the leather strap it can be hung as a wall decoration. It is signed by the artist on the back of the piece "Acoma N.M." and the letters "LA". The condition is nice with no breaks, cracks, or repairs. There is a small scratch on the bottom which is not visible when it is placed on a shelf and hanging on a wall would be difficult to see this spot also unless you look under it from up close.      $45
Large Masquerade 24% Lead Crystal Vase This wonderful Masquerade crystal vase comes with the original box. It stands about 11 3/4" high and is about 6 1/4" in diameter at the top of the vase. German stein This is an unusual porcelain or ceramic stein with "made in Western Germany" stamped on the bottom. It is about 8 3/4" tall with the lid and is about 4 1/2" in diameter at the base, with a dull metal possibly pewter lid. The design around the stein is composed of a world map with various modes of early transportation in planes and a couple of modern ones. I'm guessing this is from the 1970's. A very nice feature of this stein is the picture of a boy and girl dancing together, dressed in tradition clothing visible in the bottom of the inside of the stein. It requires you to look at it with some light behind or under the stein and is not visible from the outside bottom. I'm sorry I was unable to get a good photo of it to view. The condition of the stein appears to be very good with no chips, cracks, or breaks visible to my inspection.      $45

Stone sculpture

Large 16" nicely carved stone sculpture. This stone may be coral.  It appears to have some fossils in my opinion.  The condition is very good as I didn't find any nicks or scratches that I could feel.  The cost of this piece new is likely $100 or more based on the largest similar style sculptures I could find which were only 12" high.

African (?)

Very unusual pottery figure of a man. He is about 26" tall x 13" deep and 9 1/2" wide. He weighs about 18 pounds and I'm guessing is African in origin.  Please be advised that a break to the right leg a couple of inches below the knee has been repaired and the crack is visible. I was unable to find anything similar for sale anywhere.  This came from an estate sale in an $800K+ Scottsdale home.

Kosta Boda

5 Kosta Boda clear crystal Christmas ornaments still in the boxes from 1985.  Compare these to new 2 3/4" glass ornaments selling for $40 each online.  Purchase all 5 of these (3 are 2 3/4" and 1 at 2 1/4" and 1 at 1 1/2") for one extra low price.     $50

Pre-Columbian style

Pre-Columbian style pottery of a sitting young woman or girl.   It is approximately 14 1/2" high by 10" wide by 10 1/2" deep. The weight is about 10 pounds.  I would say the condition is only good as there is some darker areas of pottery on the top area of her legs and on the bottom also.  I am not certain if it had been just a stain or possibly even repaired maybe...I cannot tell.  The owner said it was quite old but I'm guessing not an antique.

SOLD

Washington-Lee University Wedgwood plate This wonderful Washington Lee University Wedgwood plate is stamped on the back with the Wedgwood insignia and is also etched into the bottom of the plate. It is in very nice condition with no chips or scratches or repairs. It is about 10 3/4" in diameter in size. Looking online for comparable plates it appears this is from prior to the 1950's and the lowest price I found a similar Wedwood plate was $100 plus shipping costs.      $60
Antique Wedgwood Bowl? I believe this is Wedgwood and the age is unknown.  I haven't seen any other Wedgwood or other brand pieces after having searched extensively to find any other antique or new porcelain pieces with Jasperware trim.  They either are completely Jasperware or smooth porcelain.  This vase is mostly white with gold painted trim porcelain, however on opposing sides there are attached blue Jasperware of a size of about 2 3/4" x 2 1/2" oval shapes.  It is a most unique piece and is in good condition with no cracks or repairs that I can see.  I would welcome additional information on this older piece if anyone can assist.  It stands about 5 1/8" high and is about 6 1/2" in diameter including the fan handles.  It is stamped with the number 6607 on the bottom.  I'd be happy to get any feedback from someone who knows more about this lovely piece. $60
Asian lithograph This beautiful still life is a limited edition lithograph by an artist that I am unable to read the name and the estate only knew the artist was Asian.  If someone out there knows feel free to let me know what it is.  This lithograph is #5 of 50 in the edition.  The actual work is approximately 9" x 12" and it is about 18 1/4" x 22 1/4" including the frame.      $60
Bali woodcarving This is a beautifully carved man carrying water.  It is carved from a single piece of wood.  The photos unfortunately do not begin to show the elegant workmanship.  This is from Bali and it stands approximately 11 1/2" high by 5" deep by 3 3/4" wide.  I am not sure of the type of wood but it is rather heavy so it is not a soft wood.      $60
Wedgwood Set of 6 Wedgwood "Floral" plates.  These plates are duplicates for those the company put out in the latter 1800's.  These are about 8" in diameter.  These 6 plates are all marked and dated August 1922 on the back side.  One plate has a chip out of it toward the top of the top right side which I believe you can see, however, I can send additional photos of the chipped plate upon request.  There was a single "Floral" plate for sale for $30+ on Ebay earlier.      $60

Van Vleet

This oil painting on canvas is of a beach scene by artist Van Vleet. The work is about 15" x 19" and with the frame it is about 25" x 29" and is signed in the lower right part of the painting.

Hollohaza porcelain soldier This beautiful porcelain figure is stamped on the bottom "Hollohaza...hand painted...made in Hungary 1834"  I don't know if that is the date the company came into being or if possibly the piece was made then.  The dimensions are about 10 1/4" high, 7 1/4" long, and 3 1/2" wide and it is in very nice condition.      $65
Kenji Ushiku etching Beautiful and detailed etching by Japanese artist Kenji Ushiku, whose works are in numerous museums in New York and Japan. This etching is hand signed in pencil along with the number of this work in the limited edition (#22 of 150). It is in very nice condition and is unframed, purchased from Shogun Gallery of Washington D.C. years ago, although the exact date is unknown. The dimensions of the actual work are about 4" x 5" and the size of the heavy paper it is on is about 8" x 9". As long as the buyer is requesting this to be mailed within the continental U.S. I will charge just $5 for all shipping and handling, but $15 for international mailing. $65
Chinese vase Large Cloisonne Vase from China measuring 12 1/2" high and a diameter of about 7 1/2" in the widest area. Cloisonne is a long and tedious series of processes to create these gorgeous brass vases.      $65
Tony Evans - Raku This is a wonderful piece of RAKU by famous artist Tony Evans. It is hand signed and numbered on the bottom of the piece. It stands about 6 1/2" high and is about 9 1/4" in diameter at the widest spot. Check his prices and I think you will see this is a very good price for one of his works. I apologize that my photos do not do it justice, but I have tried to provide various angles to view.      $70
Wood Sculpture - Gambrel's Quail
This is a wonderfully detailed wood sculpture of a Gambel's Quail. The painting is beautifully done and is signed on the bottom of the piece. It stands about 9 1/2" high and the bird is about 10 1/2" from tip of the head to the end of the tail. I am unsure of the spelling of the name though it appears to be an artist with a European name possibly. I was unable to find any comparable quail wood sculpture of similar quality for less than $200.

          $70
Kosta Boda cake plate Beautiful cake plate by Kosta Boda, the Swedish art glass company was founded in 1742 and is still producing unique and wonderful pieces of art. This "Limelight" design cake plate is approximately 12 3/4" in diameter and stands about 3" high. It is new with the decal still attached to the top edge of the plate and with the Kosta Boda tag. If you look on their website, this particular cake plate sells for $125.       $70
Unsigned - Mexico Lovely necklace made of .925 silver and with a torquise pendant.  It measures approximately 17 3/4" in length and the turquoise stone is approximately 1/2" x 3/4" and on the back side is stamped "925 Mexico".  A new and beautiful piece of jewelry.  I took photos on two different surfaces to give a slightly different appearance of the piece.      $75
Philadelphia Orchestra 1913 photograph This is a framed photograph of the 1913 Philadephia Orchestra with Leopold Stokowski conducting. The photograph is approximately 19" x 11 5/8" along with another photograph below it stating: "The Philadelphia Orchestra Leopold Stokowski Conducting 1913". This is nicely framed in a black metal frame which is about 23 1/4" x 17 1/4" in size. I am not certain if this is the original photo taken or a copy of the original.  There are original ink drawings on the fancy paper surface the photo is attached to designed to compliment and highlight the photograph. After considerable searching, I am unable to find this same photo anywhere though are several others taken in this general time frame of the orchestra that I found. This is a wonderful piece in any case for anyone into early music history in the U.S. $75

SOLD

Oriental Cloisonne This is beautifully designed colorful piece of cloisonne. The lady stands about 8 1/4" high and including the wood stand about 9 1/2" high. She is carrying something in each hand....a paper with writing in her right hand and a gold colored pole with wire in her left. She also has a gold colored hat. I have had 2 of these types of beautiful cloisonne ladies, however, the other one was an inch taller and sold for $125 about 20 years ago. The face, head, and hands of this lady may be ivory as the one I sold had an ivory face, head, and hands, though I can not be sure.  Overall, the piece appears to be in very nice condition but there is a small tear in the wire hat though it is not noticeable if you do not look for it and it doesn't appear to deter from the beauty of this lovely piece.  I have the original box it came in and will ship it in that box.

$80

Buffet lithograph This is a very nice and colorful limited edition lithograph by famous French artist Maurice Buffet (1909-2000). It is hand signed in pencil number 2 of 275 and the artist's signature is also hand signed in pencil. There is a Certificate of Authenticity on the back of the work. The size of the lithograph itself is about 12" x 18 1/4" and it is about 20" x 26 1/4" including the wood frame. The lithograph is covered with a thin sheet of plexiglass instead of glass and although the work itself appears to be in very nice condition, the wood frame is not in very good condition and the piece is deserving of a much nicer frame in my opinion. $80
Rudy Schauer Original watercolor painting titled "Lake Shore" by Minnesota artist Rudy Schauer, who worked with the University of Minnesota Duluth. The actual work is about 20" x 8 1/2" and 28" x 14 with the frame. This is hand signed by Rudy Schauer on the reverse side of the painting and is also dated 1965 on the reverse. There are some small blemishes in the matting though the painting itself appears to be fine.

$80

DeNiro This is a DeNiro limited edition lithograph titled "The Gang's All Here".  It is number 31 of 250 in the edition.  The actual image size is about 5 3/4" x 8" and including the frame is about 12" x 15" in size.  There was a motion picture of the same name in the 1940's.  I have tried to determine if this is a Robert DeNiro Sr. work as he was a very successful painter with some original works selling in excess of $100,000.  A registrar from a museum in Montana who carried some of his work responded to my email to her with photos of this piece sent to her and she wrote me back the following response:  Hello Darryl, I looked at your image and it does look like his. I, of course, cannot say for certain that it is by him."            $80

Waterford

Pair of Toasting Flutes by Waterford with their insignia on the base.  "Cherish Love" is written into the crystal as well as the artist's signature and dated 2000 at the base on both flutes.  They are 9 1/4" tall and are in very nice condition.  Selling only as a pair.  Est. retail today of $140-$160 for the pair.  Wonderful wedding or special occasion gift. $80

It is about 7 1/2" in diameter and about 7 3/4" high and is very beautifully carved and painted with great detail. David Willie's daughter Bernice Brieno also is a very good pottery artist whose style is quite similar to that of her father David.

World famous Swedish glass artist Mats Jonasson full lead crystal piece.  This panda is about 4 1/2" high by about 5" and is in very nice condition.  It is hand signed on the bottom "Mats Jonasson  Sweden" and is also numbered.  Original retail was $169 per a site selling this work on sale for $149.  Mats sells in 70 countries around the world. $80
Dittman painting This is an oil on paper painting by artist W. Dittmann titled "Young Indian Male" and dated 1990 on the reverse side of the piece.  The image size is about 15 1/2" x 19 1/2" and with the frame is about 27 1/2" x 31 1/2" in size.  The style of the work is a bit dark reminding me somewhat of the now deceased artist Earl Biss.  The matting on this work is very detailed and unique in style compared to most you will see and I think adds considerably to the overall look of the piece.      $90
Pakistani copper vase This large and very attractive copper vase was hand pounded in Pakistan. The artificial flowers DO NOT come with the vase. The vase alone measures approximately 22" high, about 11 1/2" in diameter, and about 37 1/2" in circumference at the widest spot.  The piece is about 10-11 pounds in weight and is in nice condition though not perfect as there are some very small dents. It shows very well with a bit of a different look from every angle.  It has seams on the backside which I didn't shoot a photo of but can for anyone wishing to see them.   $80

SOLD

Lladro "retired" porcelain sculpture Titled "Cherub, Wondering", this Lladro was designed by Salvador Debon was initially issued in 1977. It appears to be in very nice condition with no apparent chips, scratches, or cracks. It has been very popular as it was just retired this year and has had a considerably longer run than most pieces Lladro has made over the years. It stands about 5 1/2" high and is about 6 1/2" wide and has the Lladro markings on the bottom.  The current price for it on a major "retired" Lladro website is $195.      $90
Porceval This appears to be Lladro, however, it is stamped on the bottom, Porceval and was made in the same city as Lladro pieces, in Valencia, Spain. There were several other companies that also produced fine porcelain pieces in Valencia and Porceval was one of them. This is a particularly large piece standing at about 16 1/2" high and 8 1/2" across the front, and about 5 1/2" deep. It is beautifully done and in very nice condition though a small hairline crack on the base is visible. I found a couple of Porceval pieces which were considerably smaller than this one that sold for $100 and up at auction.      $90
Richard Glaesser This is a wonderful nutcracker from Germany, made by Richard Glaesser for Neiman Marcus (according to the tag still attached).  This chef stands approximately 13 3/4" tall and shows great detail and was very nicely made.  It is in excellent condition.  If you look at Glaesser's nutcrackers at various websites, you will notice this one is no longer available, however he has many very nice ones that run from about $150-$220 for sizes close to this size, although I couldn't find any quite this large for sale.  All of his work looks excellent in my opinion.  $90
Roy Dunham Very nice oil on canvas by Roy Dunham, signed by artist. This painting is approximately 19 1/4" x 23 1/4" and with the frame it is about 26 1/2" x 30 1/2". The frame isn't as dark as it appears in the photo.
