Ted DeGrazia
|
Famous Arizona artist Ted DeGrazia ceramic piece titled "My First
Horse". This cute little Native American boy is about
6" tall and is numbered on the bottom, dated 1983, and is made by
Goebel in West Germany also noted on the bottom. In very nice
condition with no visible scratches, chips, or cracks that I can find.
There is one on eBay where they make a claim this was valued at $395 in
2004 and they are asking $299.

Wedgwood
|
Set of 6 Wedgwood "Floral" plates.
Estimated circa latter 1800's. They are approximately 8 inches in
diameter, stamped and numbered on the bottoms. The condition shows
no chips or breaks, though they don't have quite the "newer"
look of the 6 Wedgwood replacement plates dated August 1922 that I am also
selling as a set of 6.

Sicas Sesto Fior
|
This unique ceramic Italian tea pot without its lid
(see lid on it in following picture) is by Sicas Sesto Fior. It stands
about 16" high, is about 8 1/4" wide at the widest spot, and the
base is about 4" in diameter. A very nice piece and part of a set
which includes, sugar bowl, creamer, 6 saucers, and 6 cups. I saw a tiny
chip on one of the saucers and a hairline crack inside one of the cups
however it does not come through to the bottom of the cup. Overall I
would say the entire set is in very good condition. I am offering
this at a lower price than I would have preferred as I'm guessing the
shipping and packing will be higher than for other items. I am
unable to determine the approximate age of this set though I would guess
it is fairly old having come from the estate of an elderly Scottsdale, AZ
couple.

Howell poster
|
This poster is titled " Breckenridge Galleries
December 12, 1981" and is hand signed by the famous artist
Frank Howell. The size of the metal framed poster is approximately
34 1/4" x 22 1/4" and the poster is in nice condition while the
frame has some scratches. I am offering this framed piece for about
1/3 of what unframed ones are offered at, including a hand signed 1982
Breckenridge Colorado poster offered at a gallery for $300. To save
considerably on packing and shipping, I am willing to send this without
the frame anywhere in the U.S. for a flat rate of $10 or for $20 to most
countries in the world. For someone wanting this item framed it is
sizable and will likely be quite costly.

Royal Dux cranes
|
Beautiful porcelain sculpture design called
"Cranes" by famous Czech porcelain company Royal Dux. This is an
older retired piece which still says "made in Czechoslavakia" in
the stamp vs the Czech Republic on newer items. The piece is 15" tall
by about 5 1/4" by 6". It has their distinctive triangle
protrusion marking on the bottom also and has 486, which is the number of
the piece "Cranes". Also is the number 25. Royal Dux has been in
existence since 1860 when it was founded in Dux, Bohemia and is still in
business producing wonderful works of art which can be quite impressive as
well as expensive. The price for "Cranes" in the aftermarket is
$249.95 plus $15 shipping at the only website I found which offered it.
However, they now no longer have one available at this time but can put
your name on a list for one at this price in case they find one. This
piece is in very nice condition with no cracks or scratches that I can
find. It is a delicately beautiful piece of work.

the most unique mattings I've ever seen on a painting. It is
beautifully done and is in very nice condition.

Fehringer painting
|
This beautiful work titled "Moon Dance" is a
limited edition lithograph by listed artist John Fehringer. Besides his
signature being hand signed in pencil, the name of the piece and the
number in the edition of 275 is also hand written. The approximate size of
the art work is 11 1/2" x 23 1/4" and including the frame it is
about 21 1/4" x 32 3/4" in size. This has long since been
sold out however I did find an after market price of $225 for "Moon
Dance" unframed on an art website which listed prices for all of
his works. This piece is very nicely double matted and framed and likely
would retail for approximately $325-$350 with the framing.

Chen Mao
|
This oil on canvas is by Chen Mao, who is known
for using horse hair to add a 3-dimensional look to his paintings.
This piece is untitled but is hand signed in the lower left area of the
painting. The painting itself is approximately 19" x 23
1/4" and it is about 26" x 30" including the frame.
Notice that there is a slight protrusion to the right of the signature.
Looking at the area with a magnifying glass shows the paint is not cracked
which makes me believe the protrusion was there before he painted this
work. Otherwise it is in nice condition.

Lebadang - early
|
This is an early Lebadang limited edition lithograph
hand signed as Hoi. This piece is #213 of 375 in the edition and there is
a letter of authenticity on the back. This is likely from the 1960's or
so. He is a very famous Vietnamese artist who trained and lives in Paris,
France, whose artworks are in collections around the world. This
lithograph is approximately 21" x 25" and with the frame it is
about 22" x 26". The work itself looks to be in good condition,
however, the frame is original and not in good condition, so the buyer may
want to anticipate reframing in a style to their preference (This is a
thin plexiglass cover instead of glass on the frame).

Louis Spiegel clown
|
Louis Spiegel was a famous artist from Cincinnati, Ohio
who was well known for his oil paintings of clowns. He died in 1975 and
his biography is written on the back of this oil on board. He hand painted
his signature L. Spiegel in the lower right side of the work. This
painting is 8" x 10" in size and including the original frame it
about 14" x 15 3/4" in size. There are some scratches on the
frame and a possible tiny chip which shows white on his nose. This piece
came from a lovely Scottsdale estate and was probably painted in the
1950's to 1960's. For any clown collectors out there, this is a wonderful
find! On an auction site I only found one other 8" x 10" Spiegel
clown oil painting and it was listed with an estimated value of $300 -
$500 in their catalog.

Perry Coyle Vase

This is a gorgeous etched crystal vase. It has
"NOUVEAU LADY" with "FEB. 20, 90" written on the
bottom of the vase and the artist etched signature on the outside of the
vase about 2" from the bottom of the vase. This is a larger piece by
Perry Coyle as it is about 12 1/2" high and 5 1/2" in diameter
at the widest point. I found 2 other signed Perry Coyle vases for
sale that were 9 1/2" tall and 11 1/4" tall and the prices on
those were $149 and $750 respectively. His works are highly
collectible and always beautifully made. I tried several photos but
this one against a leather couch shows the designs best. The vase is
in very nice condition.

Smith (Navaho) sandpainting
|
This is a sensational and very large Navaho
sandpainting signed in pencil by the artist Smith on the back of the
piece. He also wrote "This sandpainting is of four way thunder gods
with plants". The painting itself is approximately 23 3/8" x 23
3/8" in size which is much larger than many available in galleries.
Including the frame it is about 30" x 30" in size. It is
beautifully and meticulously designed and completed by the artist. I'm
sorry the picture doesn't begin to do it justice. The condition of the
painting appears to be very nice and the dark wood frame is in good
condition.

Larry Fodor
|
Beautiful work by famous artist Larry Fodor of a
limited edition lithograph titled "Dream Kachina 3". The
title and number along with the signature and date of 1983 are written in
pencil by the artist. This is #70 of 100 in the edition. The
size of the image is approximately 7" x 9" and inculding the
frame it is about 13" x 16" and it is beautifully double matted.
What makes this piece different than most lithographs is that the
artist did some additional original painting on the lithograph after it
was completed, giving it more value. This piece was purchased at the
same time as the following piece and you will notice they are both matted
and framed in like manner. I purchased both of these from a
gentleman in a $1-2 million dollar home. This piece was over $300
back in 1983.

Hiles sculpture
|
This is a fantastic and beautiful stone sculpture by
artist David A. Hiles, who is now retired. This piece stands on
a 360 degree rotating stone base made of Arizona marble. The different
views it provides are stunning! I apologize that my photos do not begin to
show the true shades of the green, black, and gray colors of this
sculpture. The size is approximately 33" high, including the base
which is about 2" high. The sculpture is signed on the bottom by the
artist David A. Hile, and it is also inscribed Alaskan Serpentine mounted
on Arizona marble and also says sculptor in stone and 249 / 00 which I was
told indicated this was his 249th sculpture and it was made in year 2000
(You have to tip the sculpture on it's side to read the inscription and
signature). The condition of the piece is very nice as this
came from a gorgeous Scottsdale estate. Because the artist is
retired and has sold all his inventory it is difficult to find resale
pieces available for comparison. After considerable checking of
other artist's stone sculptures of similar sizes (from 28" to
32") their prices range from about $4,000 - $7000. It probably
weighs between 150 - 200 pounds and because of the size and weight, please
understand that shipping costs will be very high for any buyer if unable
to personally pick it up here in Mesa, Arizona. If anyone has any
questions or would like more views of the sculpture feel free to call
